Machakos Deputy Governor Blasts Wiper Defectors, Rallies Kamba Community Behind Kalonzo for 2027 Presidency

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi Kilonzo has issued a stern warning to Wiper leaders who defied party directives during the controversial impeachment vote against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Speaking during a high-profile event at Tseikuru in Mwingi North, Mwangangi condemned the leaders, accusing them of betraying the party’s position and declaring that they would face political consequences in the 2027 general elections.

“Those who went against the wishes of the party during the impeachment proceedings should prepare to go home in 2027. Their new P.O. Box will be their homes,” Mwangangi said emphatically, underscoring the importance of party discipline. “The decisions of the Wiper party must be respected without exception.”

The event, held at the Tseikuru home of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, drew a host of prominent national and regional leaders. Among those in attendance were Democratic Change Party (DCP) leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa, former Agriculture CS Peter Munya, National Assembly Speaker J.B. Muturi, CS Mithika Linturi, all three Ukambani governors, senators, MPs, and women representatives, among others.

Mwangangi used the platform to rally the Kamba community behind Kalonzo Musyoka, urging them to register in large numbers as voters in preparation for the 2027 general election.

“We must unite as a community and stand solidly behind Kalonzo Musyoka. This is our moment to produce the next President of the Republic of Kenya,” Mwangangi said, calling for unity and political focus among the Kamba people.

He further affirmed Kalonzo Musyoka’s leadership as the undisputed kingpin of the Kamba community, warning detractors and internal critics to show respect for his legacy and role in national politics.

“Kalonzo is our leader. He is the only legitimate voice of the Kamba people and he must be respected. No one should try to divide our community or undermine his authority,” he said.

The Tseikuru event is seen as a strategic move by Kalonzo and his allies to consolidate regional support and set the stage for a strong presidential bid in 2027. With the show of political unity and a direct call for party loyalty, the Wiper party appears to be drawing battle lines early in preparation for the upcoming election cycle.Ends///…
