Machakos Set for Historic Youth Graduation as Governor Wavinya Ndeti Invites Public to Attend

Machakos County is poised for a landmark moment as Governor Wavinya Ndeti officially invites the public to grace the grand graduation ceremony of the Machakos Youth Empowerment Program, a visionary initiative transforming thousands of young lives across the county.

The ceremony, scheduled for November 4, 2025 at the prestigious Whitehouse Grounds, will be graced by the esteemed H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who will attend as the Chief Guest   a testament to the growing national recognition of Machakos’ bold youth-skilling agenda.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti, whose leadership has been widely celebrated for prioritizing youth development, called on Machakos residents, leaders, partners, and stakeholders to join in witnessing what she described as a “proud and historic milestone” in the county’s development journey.

“This graduation is more than a ceremony  it is a celebration of hope, skills, and empowerment. We warmly welcome the public to celebrate our young graduates who are now prepared to build their future and contribute to the growth of Machakos,” Governor Wavinya said.

Over 1,000 trainees from the program’s inaugural cohort will receive certification after completing practical training in competitive fields including:

Plumbing

Food & Beverage

Motor Vehicle Mechanics

Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy (Cosmetology)

Electrical & Electronics

Fashion & Design

Masonry

Event Management & DJ

The event will run from 8:00am to 11:00am, and is expected to draw dignitaries, industry stakeholders, institutions, and proud families eager to celebrate the transformation of Machakos youth into skilled professionals and job creators.

Residents are encouraged to turn out in large numbers and support the graduates as they march into a future filled with opportunity and purpose.
