Mwingi West parliamentary hopeful Hon. Jonathan Ngenga Ndisya, popularly known as King’eee, has raised serious concerns over the distribution of teachers employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in the constituency, questioning where the teachers recruited from the area have gone.
Ndisya has posed a tough question to the relevant authorities, demanding clarity on why Mwingi West continues to face teacher shortages despite the constituency producing qualified teachers.
According to the parliamentary hopeful, the last time teachers were employed in significant numbers in Mwingi West was in 2015, raising concerns over what he described as a prolonged recruitment gap that has negatively affected schools and learners.
“Where are the teachers employed by TSC in Mwingi West going? The last time teachers were employed here was in 2015,” Ndisya questioned.
He called for greater transparency and fairness in the distribution of TSC recruitment opportunities, arguing that Mwingi West deserves its fair share of teachers to address shortages and improve the quality of education.
Ndisya said the issue must be addressed urgently, warning that continued teacher shortages could undermine the academic future of children in the constituency.
