Amid cheers and chants, residents encouraged Governor Wavinya to remain steadfast in her agenda and ignore detractors they labeled as enemies of devolution. The enthusiastic gathering underscored the public’s demand for continued progress and stable governance.

Energized by the show of support, Governor Wavinya addressed the crowd with conviction, assuring them that she would not be swayed by political distractions.

“I remain focused. I promised to serve the people, and that is exactly what I will continue to do,” she declared, sparking thunderous applause. Her remarks reaffirmed her commitment to transformative leadership and service delivery.

The rally followed a stopover at Makutano after the governor had attended the funeral of Rev. Joseph Kiteng’e Nzola of JCC Mountain of Worship in Machakos town. She was accompanied by prominent Azimio leaders, including Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Their presence lent weight to the event, symbolizing a united political backing for the governor.

As political tensions continue to simmer in Machakos, the day’s events sent a firm message: the people stand firmly behind Governor Wavinya Ndeti. Their vocal support drew a clear boundary against disorder and backward politics. With the backing of her constituents and a clear vision for development, Governor Wavinya remains determined to shield Machakos from political disruption and guide it toward sustained growth and prosperity.
