PUBLIC NOTICE: 2026 PERMIT RENEWAL & COUNTY PAYMENTS

The County Government of Machakos, under the steadfast leadership of Governor Wavinya Ndeti, wishes to remind all business owners, property holders, and residents to promptly renew their permits and settle all county dues within the stipulated timelines.

In her continued commitment to enhancing service delivery, strengthening local revenue systems, and accelerating sustainable development, Governor Wavinya Ndeti has emphasized the importance of compliance as a key driver in transforming Machakos into a vibrant hub of economic growth and opportunity.

All traders are hereby required to renew their Single Business Permits and ensure that payments for land rates and ground rent are made on or before 31st March 2026 to avoid penalties. Developers are further advised to seek and obtain all necessary approvals before commencing any construction projects, in line with county planning regulations. Additionally, tenants residing in county housing units are reminded to pay their rent by the 5th day of every month.

To promote efficiency, transparency, and convenience, the County Government encourages all traders and property owners to utilize the Citizen Self-Service Portal and other officially approved payment channels.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti reiterates her administration’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly environment and delivering quality services to the people of Machakos. She calls upon all stakeholders to remain compliant and partner with the county government in building a prosperous and well-developed Machakos for present and future generations.
