A pick-up driver tragically lost his life in a fatal road accident near the Makutano Ma Mwala Junction on the Machakos-Kitui road.
Confirming the incident, Mwala Sub-county Police Commander Fredrick Satur stated that the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the rear of a tractor, dying instantly at the scene.
A passenger in the pick-up and a pedestrian who was walking along the roadside were injured during the collision.
The two were rushed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital for medical attention, while the driver’s body was moved to the hospital’s morgue.
