Wavinya Delivers: Kinanie Mathatani Residents Praise Governor for Transforming Health and Water Services

Residents of Kinanie Mathatani Ward in Machakos County have lauded Governor Wavinya Ndeti for her unmatched development record, describing her as a visionary leader who has transformed the lives of many through tangible projects that directly benefit the people.

The residents, led by local opinion leaders and youth representatives, praised Governor Wavinya’s leadership and commitment to improving healthcare, water access, and infrastructure across the county. They said that under her administration, Machakos County is steadily rising to greater heights.

One of the residents, speaking during a community engagement forum, noted that the Kwa Mboo Dispensary has become a model health facility, offering reliable medical services to the people of the area. The residents also highlighted the Kananie Level 3 Hospital, which has been equipped and upgraded to serve more patients. The ongoing construction of a modern X-ray unit and theater at Kinanie has also been completed, marking a major milestone in expanding access to advanced healthcare within the ward.

“We are proud of what Mama Wavinya is doing for us. For the first time, our people can access quality health services right here in Kinanie without traveling to Machakos Town or Nairobi. She has truly brought services closer to the people,” said one resident.

In addition to the health projects, the residents expressed gratitude for the drilling of boreholes at Kinanie Primary and Kwa Mboo Primary Schools, which have provided clean and reliable water to both learners and the surrounding community. The availability of water has not only improved hygiene standards in schools but also boosted local livelihoods by easing the burden of water scarcity.

“The boreholes have changed our lives. We no longer walk long distances in search of water. Our children can now focus on their studies instead of spending hours fetching water,” said another resident.

The people of Kinanie Mathatani described Governor Wavinya as a “two-term governor” and vowed to stand firmly behind her, citing her inclusive leadership style and commitment to empowering all corners of Machakos County.

“Governor Wavinya Ndeti has shown us what real leadership looks like. Her actions speak louder than words, and we have no doubt that Machakos is in safe hands under her administration,” said a youth leader from Mathatani.

They further urged local leaders to support the governor’s transformative agenda instead of engaging in petty politics, emphasizing that the visible developments in the health and water sectors are clear evidence of her dedication to service delivery.

With residents across Kinanie Mathatani Ward expressing satisfaction with her performance, it is evident that Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s development footprint continues to inspire confidence, making her a strong favorite for re-election as she steers Machakos County to the next level of growth and prosperity.
