Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable development during the launch of the county valuation roll.
Speaking at the event, Governor Wavinya said the rollout of the valuation register marked a major milestone in her government’s plan to strengthen local revenue systems and improve service delivery across the county.
“As we converge here to launch the county valuation roll, we aren’t launching a document; we are unveiling a vision of a modernized, self-sustaining and transparent administration,” she said.
Governor Wavinya emphasized that the valuation roll is more than an administrative exercise it is a bold reform agenda aimed at making Machakos more financially stable, efficient, and accountable.
She noted that the new system will promote fairness in property rates, improve revenue collection, and reduce overdependence on external funding, allowing the county to invest more in essential services.
The governor said the valuation roll will play a key role in supporting development projects, including better roads, healthcare, water access, and urban infrastructure, while ensuring resources are managed in an open and responsible manner.
She further assured residents that her administration remains focused on inclusive leadership and practical reforms that directly improve livelihoods.
The launch of the county valuation roll is expected to usher in a new era of efficient revenue management and reinforce Machakos County’s vision of becoming a modern, self-sustaining, and well-governed region.
