Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s administration has received praise from residents following the full operationalisation of Kyaume Level 3 Hospital in Matungulu, with the facility’s maternity wing now providing services to the community.
Residents have dismissed claims that the facility is not operational, urging the public to ignore what they termed as misleading reports and instead utilise the services available at the hospital.
One resident welcomed the facility but called on the Machakos County Government to strengthen staffing, particularly by increasing the number of nurses to five, to enhance service delivery.
“Let us make good use of the facility. I request the Machakos County Government to add nurses and make them five. This will serve people better,” the resident said.
The resident described claims that the hospital is not operational as a political witch-hunt, maintaining that residents should focus on accessing and improving the services already available.
The development underscores Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s continued focus on strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring residents of Machakos have access to quality and accessible medical services.
