Governor Wavinya Ndeti Reassures Machakos Residents Amid Nationwide Nurses’ Strike

As the nationwide nurses’ strike continues to affect health services in various parts of the country, Machakos County has remained a beacon of resilience, with outpatient services running uninterrupted in all local health facilities.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of Machakos residents. Speaking on the ongoing industrial action, the Governor confirmed that negotiations with the nurses’ union are actively underway, aimed at finding a lasting and amicable solution.

Despite the challenges posed by the strike, Governor Ndeti assured the public that her government is working tirelessly to ensure healthcare delivery is not compromised. “The health and safety of the people of Machakos remain my top priority,” she stated, emphasizing that she is “working day and night” to maintain essential medical services while addressing the concerns of healthcare workers.
