kaki nyamai takes development agenda to tseikuru, rallies residents around infrastructure and economic empowerment

kaki nyamai leads leaders in masyungwa as residents push for development in tseikuru
Kitui South MP Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, joined Mwingi North MP aspirant Hon. Martha Mati and Senator Hon. Beth Syengo at Masyungwa, Tseikuru Ward, for a public engagement and empowerment programme.

Dr. Kaki, popularly associated with the FOTAM movement, used the engagement to emphasise the need for sustained investment in infrastructure and economic empowerment to transform communities in the region.

She highlighted the development agenda of President William Ruto, noting that improved road infrastructure and electricity connectivity are critical to linking farmers and pastoralist communities to markets, expanding economic opportunities and opening up Tseikuru.

The leaders also discussed affordable housing and measures to support pastoralist communities, with residents given an opportunity to raise issues affecting their livelihoods and development.

The engagement brought together a broad team of leaders, including Hon. Penina Malonza, Hon. Joe Mutambu, Hon. Bonnie Musambi (Nzeve Nzau), Commissioner Ben Muasya, as well as women and MCA aspirants led by Stephen Kasolo Kitole.

Residents of Masyungwa turned out in large numbers, engaging the leaders directly and presenting their priorities as they seek greater development and economic opportunities for the area.

Dr. Kaki’s participation further underscored her continued engagement beyond Kitui South, as she joined other leaders in discussing practical development priorities affecting communities in the wider region.
