Makueni Governor Hails Successful LSK Annual Conference, Applauds Legal Fraternity

Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has lauded the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) for successfully hosting a high-impact annual conference, describing it as an exemplary gathering that showcased the best of the country’s legal fraternity.

Speaking after attending the event, Governor Mutula commended LSK President Faith Odhiambo and her Council for their commitment and professionalism in organising a seamless and engaging conference.

“Kudos to President Faith Odhiambo and the entire Council for a well-organised conference,” he said. “The bar has been set high for the next team.”

The Governor also singled out the innovative inclusion of the “Men’s Conference” segment into the programme, describing it as a brilliant idea that added both depth and value to the deliberations.

He noted that the “Senior BAR” segment lived up to expectations, saying the country’s most distinguished legal minds demonstrated their wealth of knowledge and experience.

“It was a pleasure listening to my teacher Ambrose Rachier,” he stated, noting that the veteran lawyer delivered insightful contributions that enriched the discussions.

Governor Mutula further praised the contributions of renowned legal personalities Prof. George Wajackoyah and Senior Counsel Elisha Ongoya, saying they were impressive and consistent in their delivery.

“Wajackoyah and Elisha Ongoya did what they do best!” he remarked.

The Governor, himself an experienced advocate and former Senator, reiterated his commitment to continued collaboration with the legal community in promoting good governance, constitutionalism and the rule of law.
