Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the county through effective service delivery across key sectors, saying his government has made significant progress in improving the lives of residents.
Speaking in Kyangwithya West, Kitui Central, during the burial of the late Joyce Kalekye Mutunga, Governor Malombe said his leadership had deliberately prioritised health services, road infrastructure, education, and water access as pillars of his transformational development agenda.
The Governor stated that his administration was steadily addressing the daily challenges facing the people of Kitui, noting that tangible strides had been made in expanding healthcare services, improving road networks, enhancing learning environments, and increasing access to clean and reliable water.
He emphasised that his government remained focused on delivering practical and sustainable solutions aimed at uplifting livelihoods and fulfilling the development promises he made to the people of Kitui.
Dr. Malombe observed that development was a continuous process that required dedication, unity, and accountability, adding that his administration would not relent in ensuring that every part of the county benefited from equitable resource allocation.
The Governor was speaking as he condoled with the family and residents following the passing of the late Joyce Kalekye Mutunga, who died at the age of 105. He described her as a respected matriarch whose long life symbolised resilience and wisdom within the community.
The late Joyce Kalekye Mutunga was a sister to Dr. Mueke and aunt to Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke.
