Wavinya Ndeti has once again demonstrated that compassionate leadership goes beyond words, affirming that giving is caring through a heartfelt gesture to the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.
Today at the Mavoko Sub-County Offices, the county government, in partnership with Bamburi Cement and Amsons Group, issued Iftar food packs to members of the Muslim community as they continue observing the sacred month of fasting and prayer.
Although the Governor was not physically present, she was ably represented by County Secretary Dr. Muya Ndambuki, who conveyed her message of unity, generosity, and solidarity. The food distribution exercise was aimed at easing the burden on families during the evening breaking of the fast, a significant daily moment during Ramadan.
Governor Wavinya expressed her sincere gratitude to Bamburi Cement and Amsons Group for consistently stepping up in times of need and standing with the people during important seasons. She noted that partnerships between government and the private sector are crucial in ensuring that support reaches communities effectively and in a timely manner.
She reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for all faiths, emphasizing that Machakos County thrives when leaders embrace diversity and foster harmony among residents.
The Muslim faithful who benefited from the initiative welcomed the gesture, describing it as timely and thoughtful. As the holy month continues, Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s message remains clear leadership is about service, unity, and compassion.
Ramadan Kareem.
