Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services across the county following the commissioning of the newly renovated and equipped Kitooni Dispensary.

The upgraded facility, funded and modernized by the County Government of Kitui, is set to significantly improve access to quality and reliable healthcare for residents of Kanyangi and surrounding areas.

Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Malombe emphasized that investing in grassroots health infrastructure remains a top priority of his administration. He noted that the transformation of Kitooni Dispensary reflects a broader county strategy aimed at ensuring every resident can access essential medical services closer to home.
“This project is a clear demonstration of our resolve to enhance healthcare delivery and improve the well-being of our people,” said the Governor.

The development has been widely welcomed by local leaders, who described it as a major milestone in improving service delivery in rural areas. Area MCA Bonface Katula, alongside Kauwi MCA Gabriel Munyao and Tseikuru MCA Kimanzi Muange, lauded the county government for prioritizing health projects that directly impact wananchi.
