Governor Wavinya Ndeti: Digital Reforms Will End Revenue Leakages and Boost Service Delivery in Machakos

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has hailed the county’s ongoing digital transformation as a major breakthrough that will significantly improve efficiency in public service delivery while sealing long-standing revenue leakages.

Speaking on the rollout of the county’s automated systems, Governor Ndeti said the reforms would usher Machakos into a new era of faster, more transparent, and accountable governance.
“This will ensure our service delivery efficiency goes to another level, ensuring no more carrying physical files from office to office. At the same time, revenue will also be safeguarded by automating the process. We have sealed revenue leakages those gaps where money meant for public service used to disappear,” she said.

The governor said the automation initiative marks a critical step in modernizing county operations, reducing delays, and improving access to essential services for residents. By replacing manual paperwork with streamlined digital systems, she noted, wananchi will now experience quicker approvals, better coordination across departments, and improved responsiveness from county offices.

Governor Ndeti emphasized that the reforms are not only about convenience but also about protecting public resources. She said automation would enhance accountability by ensuring that all revenue collected is properly tracked and directed toward development projects.

According to the governor, the county government is determined to eliminate inefficiencies that have historically slowed down services and undermined public trust. She added that the new systems would strengthen financial discipline and support the county’s broader agenda of sustainable development.

Governor Ndeti reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to innovation, transparency, and prudent management of public funds, saying the reforms would leave a lasting legacy for current and future generations in Machakos County.
