Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has hailed the completion of the new county valuation roll and the automation of the Development Application Management System (ADAMS) as a landmark achievement that will transform governance and service delivery for years to come.
Speaking during the launch of the reforms, Governor Wavinya said her administration had taken a decisive step toward building a modern, efficient, and financially sustainable county government.
“My government has successfully completed the new county valuation roll and automated the Development Application Management System, popularly referred to as ADAMS. This is the kind of achievement whose effects and benefits will be felt now and for generations to come,” she said.
The governor said the twin reforms represent a major breakthrough in streamlining county operations, enhancing transparency, and improving revenue collection.
She noted that the valuation roll will create a fair and updated framework for property rates, ensuring that all property owners contribute equitably while helping the county raise more resources for development.
At the same time, the digitization of development applications through ADAMS is expected to make approval processes faster, more transparent, and less cumbersome for investors, developers, and residents.
Governor Wavinya emphasized that the reforms are part of her broader agenda to modernize county systems, reduce bureaucracy, and create an enabling environment for growth.
She said the strengthened revenue base and improved efficiency will support key development priorities, including better roads, healthcare, water supply, and urban infrastructure.
Wavinya further assured residents that her administration remains committed to delivering practical solutions that improve livelihoods and secure a better future for Machakos.
The completion of the valuation roll and ADAMS marks a significant milestone in Machakos County’s journey toward accountable governance, sustainable growth, and long-term prosperity.
