Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga Inspects Ongoing Construction of Sh70 Million Tulia Modern Market

The Kitui County Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development and Kitui West incoming MP Hon. Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga, together with the Chief Officer for Lands and Urban Development mutemi mutua, today inspected the ongoing construction of the Tulia Modern Market, a major development project estimated to cost KSh 70 million.

The modern market project is a collaboration between the National Government and the Kitui County Government, aimed at improving business activities, creating a conducive trading environment for traders, and boosting economic growth in the region.

During the inspection tour, Hon. Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga expressed satisfaction with the progress of the construction works, noting that the project is moving on well and is expected to greatly benefit the people of Tulia and the surrounding areas once completed.

Kimanga commended the contractors and all stakeholders involved for maintaining quality work and ensuring the project progresses smoothly within the required timelines. He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and creating better opportunities for traders and small-scale entrepreneurs across Kitui County.

The Waziri was accompanied by other government officials, including members of the Tulia Market Committee, who also praised the ongoing works and expressed optimism that the market will transform local trade and improve livelihoods for residents.

Residents and traders have welcomed the project, saying the modern market will provide a safer and more organized business environment while enhancing economic activities in the area.

The Tulia Modern Market is among the key development projects being implemented through joint efforts between the county and national governments to promote development and empower local communities.
