National Liberal Party (NLP) leader Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli has publicly declared his willingness to work with Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, signaling a major political shift in the Ukambani region ahead of the next general election.
Speaking during kitui summit, Dr. Kyalo said his party is ready to collaborate with the opposition to strengthen unity and champion the interests of the Kamba community and Kenyans at large.
Dr. Kyalo strongly criticized William Ruto, accusing the President of misleading the Kamba community through promises that remain unfulfilled. He claimed several key development projects promised to the region have stalled, leaving residents frustrated and disappointed.
According to Dr. Kyalo, the Kamba community has waited long enough for meaningful development and deserves leadership that delivers on promises rather than empty political statements.
He further stated that the NLP party is prepared to officially join forces with the opposition coalition, with the aim of uniting like-minded leaders to challenge President Ruto’s administration in the next election.
“We are ready to work with Kalonzo and all progressive leaders to bring change. The time has come for the Kamba community to speak with one voice and demand accountability,” said Dr. Kyalo.
The NLP leader maintained that the opposition is focused on building a strong political movement capable of making President Ruto a one-term president.
His remarks are expected to reshape political alignments in the Ukambani region, especially as opposition leaders continue intensifying consultations and mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
