KISOI MUNYAO REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AS HE STRENGTHENS HIS 2027 MBOONI BID

Mbooni Constituency 2027 parliamentary frontrunner Hon. Michael Kisoi Munyao has reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting women economically, saying empowering women remains one of the most effective ways of accelerating development and improving livelihoods across communities.

Speaking during a women empowerment programme at Darajani, Kambu in Mtito Andei Ward, Kibwezi East Constituency, Kisoi said women play a critical role in driving economic growth, strengthening families, and fostering sustainable community development. He noted that investing in women through empowerment initiatives creates lasting benefits that extend to entire communities.

The event brought together hundreds of women from organized groups and was attended by several prominent leaders, including Prof. Philip Kaloki, Kibwezi East MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, Kenya Railways Managing Director Philip Mainga, Dr. Andrew Mutava Mulwa, Hon. Fred Muteti, Dr. Stephen Ndolo, Dr. Damaris Maweu, Hon. Katemi Makenga, Ms. Wavinya Nzioka and other leaders.

Hon. Kisoi praised the overwhelming turnout, describing it as a clear indication that wananchi are eager to embrace programmes that improve household incomes through entrepreneurship, table banking and other income-generating activities. He emphasized that empowering women is key to building resilient families, reducing poverty and creating a stronger local economy.

The Mbooni parliamentary hopeful also commended the Kenya Kwanza Administration under President William Ruto for rolling out transformative development projects across the Ukambani region, noting that continued investment in infrastructure and economic empowerment will open up more opportunities for residents.

As he intensifies his engagement with wananchi ahead of the 2027 General Election, Hon. Michael Kisoi Munyao widely regarded as the people’s choice for Mbooni Constituency has continued to champion inclusive development, promising to prioritize empowerment programmes, quality education, improved infrastructure and economic opportunities that will transform the lives of Mbooni residents.
