The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Kenya, in collaboration with the Kitui County Government, and other partners played a pivotal role in making this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations a resounding success. The event, held at Miambani Ward in Kitui Central, brought together women leaders, community members, and key stakeholders to champion gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Leading the ADRA Kenya team was Hellen Kasila, whose leadership and commitment to women’s rights were evident throughout the event. Women entrepreneurs showcased their products in an exhibition that aimed to promote local businesses and economic self-reliance. Additionally, health awareness campaigns were conducted, focusing on maternal health, reproductive rights, and gender-based violence prevention.
