Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua has officially launched his bid for the Kitui governorship, pledging to deliver transformative development and effective leadership to the people of the county.
Speaking during the campaign launch in Kitui, Kiio said he was ready and capable of taking the county to the next level, promising to prioritise development and improve service delivery across Kitui.
The launch was attended by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, who said the Linda Mwananchi faction would use the Constitution as its manifesto in the campaign to remove President William Ruto from power.
Sifuna said the opposition’s priority was to protect Kenyans’ freedoms of expression and speech and ensure that extrajudicial killings have no place in the country ,He was responding to President Ruto’s criticism that the opposition lacked an agenda beyond the “one-term” slogan.
Kiio now joins the race for the Kitui governorship, promising voters a leadership focused on development, accountability and the welfare of Kitui residents.
