Governor Dr. Julius Malombe Mourns Three Children Lost in Tragic Fire, Sends Hon. Frederick Kimanga, Mutua Mutemi and Francisca Chui to Console Family

The County Government of Kitui under the leadership of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe today sent a delegation led by the County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Housing and Urban Development Hon. Frederick Kimanga to condole with the family of Syengo Kitili following the tragic death of their three children who were burnt to ashes in a devastating fire incident last week.

The heartbreaking incident occurred on Wednesday night at around 10:00 p.m. at Ndivuni Village, Musengo Location in Mutonguni Ward, plunging the entire area into deep sorrow and mourning.

The governor’s delegation included the Chief Officer for Urban Development Mutua Mutemi and the Chief Officer for Performance Contracting Madam Francisca Chui, who joined Hon. Kimanga in conveying Governor Malombe’s heartfelt condolences and message of comfort to the grieving family.

The three children who lost their lives in the tragedy were identified as Francis Syengo, a Grade Three pupil, Alice Kavasi, a PP2 learner, and Joseph Mutuli, who was in PP1.

Speaking during the condolence visit, Hon. Frederick Kimanga conveyed Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s message of sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family, assuring them that the county government stands with them during the painful moment of grief and loss.

Kimanga described the incident as heartbreaking and painful, noting that the loss of three innocent children had deeply touched the hearts of leaders and residents across Kitui County.

Chief Officer Mutua Mutemi also expressed his condolences to the family, urging residents to remain united and support the bereaved family emotionally and spiritually during the difficult period.

On her part, Chief Officer Francisca Chui conveyed words of encouragement and comfort to the family, praying for strength and healing as they prepare to lay their children to rest.

The leaders further noted that burial arrangements had been finalized, with the burial ceremony slated for tomorrow, Friday, as family members, friends, leaders, and residents prepare to give the three children a befitting send-off.

Residents of Ndivuni Village joined leaders in mourning the young souls, describing the tragedy as one of the most painful incidents ever witnessed in the area.
