Governor Malombe Reaffirms Strong Commitment to All-Round Development as Kitui County Pushes Forward

Kitui County Governor Dr. Julius Malombe joined the family, relatives, and friends of the late David Nyamai Kiteme at Ikolanie in Kyangwithya West Ward, Kitui Central Sub-County, for his burial ceremony, where he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering inclusive development across the county.

Speaking during the ceremony held in Mbusyani, Dr. Malombe said the County Government of Kitui remains steadfast in ensuring that residents continue to enjoy the full benefits of devolution through sustained investment in key sectors.
“The County Government of Kitui will continue delivering all-round development across the county so that our people can continue enjoying the fruits of devolution,” the Governor said.

He highlighted major milestones achieved by his administration in critical areas including water services, healthcare, education, and road infrastructure, noting that these sectors are central to improving the quality of life for Kitui residents. Dr. Malombe emphasized that his government is focused on people-centered development that addresses real community needs.

The Governor was speaking while paying tribute to the late David Nyamai Kiteme, whom he described as a dedicated educationist who served the community with distinction. Kiteme, a teacher by profession, made significant contributions to the education sector during his long career

Dr. Malombe noted that the late Kiteme’s legacy in education reflects the values of service, discipline, and commitment to nurturing future generations, adding that such contributions should continue to inspire the community.

The burial ceremony was attended by Township Ward MCA Hon. Ngoima, several county ministers, chief officers, local leaders, and residents, who joined the bereaved family in honoring the life and service of the late Kiteme.

The Governor conveyed his condolences to the family and urged residents to remain united, assuring them of the county government’s continued support in driving development and improving livelihoods across Kitui County.
