Governor Wavinya Ndeti Secures Strategic Partnership to Expand Job Opportunities for Machakos Youth

The County Government of Machakos County, under the visionary leadership of H.E. Wavinya Ndeti, has officially entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BrighterMonday Kenya aimed at unlocking employment opportunities for the county’s youth.

The landmark partnership, facilitated through the Department of Gender, Youth, Sports and Social Welfare, marks a significant milestone in the Governor’s continued efforts to address youth unemployment and empower young people with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

Through this collaboration, thousands of young people across Machakos will gain access to dignified employment opportunities, structured career guidance, and comprehensive employability support. The programme will offer practical assistance in CV writing, interview preparation, job matching, and placement opportunities — all carefully designed to ease the transition from education and training into the workforce.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti has consistently placed youth empowerment at the heart of her development agenda, recognizing that the economic transformation of Machakos County depends on harnessing the potential, creativity, and innovation of its young population. By forging partnerships with reputable institutions such as BrighterMonday Kenya, her administration is creating sustainable pathways that connect local talent to real employment prospects.

Beyond job placement, the initiative will equip young people with practical skills, expand their professional networks, and build the confidence necessary to pursue meaningful and fulfilling careers. It will also enhance workforce readiness, ensuring that Machakos youth are competitive both locally and nationally.

This strategic move further underscores Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s commitment to strengthening local talent development, promoting inclusive growth, and advancing sustainable economic progress across Machakos County.

With this bold step, the Governor continues to demonstrate transformative leadership focused on opportunity creation, social empowerment, and long-term prosperity for the people of Machakos.
