Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to bringing quality healthcare services closer to residents following the official opening of Kaewa Dispensary in Upper Kaewa Ward, Kathiani Sub-County.
The Level 2 health facility, which has been operational since September 2024, has already served 3,161 residents, benefiting a catchment population of approximately 4,000 people.
Governor Ndeti said the facility is part of her administration’s broader commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across Machakos County and ensuring residents can access essential medical services within their communities.
Kaewa Dispensary provides outpatient services, maternal and child healthcare, pharmacy and counselling services, giving residents greater access to essential care without travelling long distances to seek treatment.
The Governor emphasized that quality healthcare begins with taking services directly to the people, noting that expanding and improving health facilities remains a key priority in advancing Universal Health Coverage across Machakos County.
The opening of the facility marks another step in Governor Ndeti’s efforts to improve healthcare access and ensure that residents, particularly those in rural and underserved areas, receive timely and affordable medical services closer to home.
