Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu Commissions Major Education Projects Across Kitui Central, Reaffirms 2027 Gubernatorial Bid

In a clear demonstration of his unwavering commitment to educational transformation and grassroots development, Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu, CBS, the Member of Parliament for Kitui Central and a front-runner in the 2027 gubernatorial race, officially launched a series of major education infrastructure projects across Mulango, Kyangwithya West, and Kyangwithya East Wards.

The high-impact projects, aimed at revitalizing the learning environment for thousands of learners, underscore Dr. Mulu’s long-standing vision for an educated, empowered, and progressive Kitui County.

Development in Mulango Ward

While on tour in Mulango Ward, Dr. Mulu presided over the commissioning of rehabilitated classrooms in several institutions:

✅ Nzunguni Primary School – 4 classrooms rehabilitated

✅ Kikumini Primary School – 2 classrooms rehabilitated

✅ Mwania Primary School – 6 classrooms rehabilitated

✅ Kyangunga Secondary School – 3 classrooms rehabilitated

Speaking during the event, Dr. Mulu emphasized that quality education begins with a conducive learning environment.
“These are not just buildings; they are the foundation for a better future. Every child deserves to learn in a safe, dignified classroom,” he stated.

Boosting Infrastructure in Kyangwithya West

Dr. Mulu continued his development tour in Kyangwithya West Ward, where he was joined by the area MCA, Hon. Christopher Nzilu. There, he unveiled more ambitious upgrades, including:

✅ Ivovoa Primary School – Rehabilitation of 12 classrooms

✅ Kwa Maingi Primary School – Rehabilitation of 10 classrooms

✅ St. Charles Lwanga Secondary School – Construction of a brand new Science Laboratory

The new science lab is expected to significantly enhance STEM education, providing hands-on learning opportunities and boosting academic performance in the region.

Progress in Kyangwithya East

Further expanding his education-focused development agenda, Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu also commissioned key projects in Kyangwithya East Ward, including:

✅ Ngungi Primary School – Rehabilitation of 6 classrooms

✅ Kwa Ukungu Secondary School – Rehabilitation of 10 classrooms + administration office

✅ Kwa Mboo – Rehabilitation of 9 classrooms + administration office

While addressing residents, Dr. Mulu remarked, “Education is the key to sustainable development. Tunajenga Kitui kwa vitendo!” His remarks were met with resounding applause, reflecting the community’s appreciation for his action-oriented leadership.

Dr. Mulu’s growing influence across Kitui County has cemented him as a preferred candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial race.
