The incoming Kitui Woman Representative, Hon. Fridah Makasi, has called on young people across the county to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development as pathways to economic empowerment.
Speaking during a youth engagement forum, Hon. Makasi acknowledged the immense potential among Kitui’s youth, noting that they are the driving force behind the county’s future development.
She said her leadership will focus on advocating for increased access to vocational training, digital skills, entrepreneurship programmes, and employment opportunities that will enable young people to become self reliant.
Hon. Makasi encouraged the youth to remain disciplined, hardworking, and focused on building successful careers while avoiding negative influences that derail their ambitions.
She further pledged to collaborate with government agencies, educational institutions, and private sector partners to create more opportunities that will empower young people to realize their dreams.
