Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe Renews Contracts of 19 Chief Officers

Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has renewed the contracts of 19 Chief Officers serving in various departments within the County Government of Kitui, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to continuity, efficiency, and accelerated service delivery.

Speaking at the County Headquarters in Kitui, Governor Malombe said the decision to renew the contracts was informed by the officers’ performance, dedication, and the need to sustain momentum in the implementation of key development programmes across the county.

The Governor noted that his administration remains focused on delivering tangible results to the people of Kitui through accountable leadership and a professional public service.

“I have today renewed the contracts of 19 Chief Officers after a careful review of their performance and the progress made in their respective departments. This decision ensures stability in our governance structures and guarantees that ongoing projects are completed without unnecessary disruption,” Governor Malombe said.
He emphasized that the renewed contracts come with clear performance targets and expectations, adding that his government will continue to uphold transparency, integrity, and prudent management of public resources.

“As an administration, we are committed to strengthening service delivery. The Chief Officers play a critical role in policy implementation and supervision of county programmes. I expect them to remain focused, innovative, and responsive to the needs of our people,” he added.

Governor Malombe further reiterated that his leadership is anchored on teamwork and collective responsibility, urging the officers to work closely with County Executive Committee Members, Members of the County Assembly, and other stakeholders to fast-track development.

He assured residents that his government will continue prioritizing key sectors including health, water, agriculture, infrastructure, and education to improve livelihoods and spur economic growth.
The renewal of the contracts signals stability within the county administration and sets the stage for sustained implementation of development initiatives aimed at transforming Kitui County.
