“KWITU FM Shuts Down Machakos Showground with Historic Debut, Thousands Celebrate New Voice of the People”

Excitement swept across Machakos County as KWITU FM made its much-anticipated debut during the Machakos Agricultural Show, drawing thousands of jubilant residents and visitors in a celebration unlike any other.

All eyes turned to the skies and ears to the airwaves when KWITU FM made a dramatic and electrifying entrance, bringing the entire showground to a standstill. From farmers to traders, youth to elders, everyone paused their activities to witness the grand arrival of the newest voice of the community.

The event, held at the iconic Machakos Showgrounds, turned into a sea of celebration as KWITU FM’s branded caravan, accompanied by lively music, dance troupes, and a high-energy emcee crew, rolled in to a thunderous welcome. Cheers echoed across the grounds, with many calling it the highlight of this year’s agricultural show.

“It was like a festival in itself,” said Mama Ndinda, a long-time resident of Machakos. “We have never seen anything like this. The music, the voices, the energy—KWITU FM has arrived with a bang, and we are proud to be part of this moment.”

KWITU FM’s presenters, known for their vibrant personalities and deep community connection, took to the stage to introduce the station’s mission: to empower, entertain, and inform the people of Lower Eastern Kenya. From live interviews to interactive games and giveaways, the crowd was fully engaged, proving that KWITU FM has already captured the hearts of the people.

County officials, local leaders, and even agricultural stakeholders commended the station’s focus on community-centered programming, promising to partner in future initiatives that uplift and educate the region.

As the sun set on an unforgettable day, the message was clear: KWITU FM has found a home in Machakos, and the community couldn’t be more thrilled.
