Late Kilonzo Musya’s Family Appeals for Intervention After Being Denied OB at Ngungani Police Station Needed to Conduct Postmortem and Facilitate Burial

The family of the late Kilonzo Musya alias Kataa from Ngeukya Village, Mukonga Location in Mumoni Ward, Mwingi North, is appealing to authorities to urgently intervene and help them obtain the Occurrence Book (OB) needed to facilitate a postmortem.

Led by his mother Ngali Musya and uncle Peter Mbiti, the family says they are unable to bury their loved one because they have been denied access to the OB, a key document required for an independent postmortem.

Kilonzo was allegedly arrested after accusations of cultivating bhangi, detained at Ngungani Police Station, remanded at Waita Prison, and later released for treatment at Embu Hospital, where he died.

The family is now calling on ODPP, IPOA, and other authorities to intervene, release the OB and relevant records, and ensure justice as they seek truth and closure before burying their loved one.
