Makali Mulu Tours Miambani Ward, Commissions Key Development Projects

Kitui Central MP and incoming Kitui Governor 2027 aspirant, Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu, CBS, on Thursday led a development tour across Miambani Ward, commissioning and inspecting a series of projects aimed at uplifting education standards and infrastructure in the region.

The tour underscored Dr. Mulu’s commitment to fostering accessible, quality education and better infrastructure for the people of Kitui Central.

Among the projects commissioned were:

Mikuyuni Primary School – Rehabilitation of 4 classrooms to create a more conducive learning environment.

Mikuyuni Secondary School – Construction of a modern 4-door pit latrine to improve sanitation and hygiene.

King’oini Primary School – Construction of a 4-door pit latrine to enhance school facilities.

Kavuvuu Primary School – Construction of a new classroom to accommodate the growing student population.

Ikoo Drift – Inspection of the recently completed drift, which is set to ease movement and improve accessibility within the ward.

Speaking during the tour, Dr. Mulu reaffirmed his dedication to improving the lives of Kitui residents through tangible projects, particularly in the education sector. He emphasized that quality education cannot thrive without proper infrastructure, and pledged to continue prioritizing investments that directly benefit learners and communities.

“These projects are not just about infrastructure; they are about giving our children and community hope, dignity, and opportunities for a brighter future,” said Dr. Mulu.

The legislator also took the opportunity to interact with residents, who lauded his continued efforts in transforming Miambani Ward and Kitui Central at large.
