Kitui South politics is taking a fresh turn as residents have come out strongly in defence of their MP, Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, dismissing Gladys Kivoto as no match for the incumbent ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a hard-hitting message directed at Kivoto, some residents used the phrase “Mami wa mitoto uko chini kabisa, hautoshi mboga,” insisting that Kitui South needs leadership with academic credentials, experience and a proven development record.
The residents maintained that Dr. Kaki Nyamai, a PhD holder, has demonstrated the leadership capacity and political experience required to represent the constituency, arguing that her record places her in a different league.
They further expressed confidence in her fourth-term bid, maintaining that Kitui South is not ready to gamble with its parliamentary representation when they already have a leader whose track record they can point to.
Their message is clear: Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai remains their preferred choice as the 2027 political contest gathers momentum.
