Mulango Ward Aspirant Dennis Wambua Syengo Rallies Residents to Register as Voters Ahead of 2027 Polls

Mulango Ward MCA aspirant Dennis Wambua Syengo has called on residents to take an active role in shaping their leadership by ensuring they acquire national identity cards and register as voters ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking at Kaumba playground during the ongoing Ngoima Ladies Cup, Wambua emphasized the importance of civic responsibility, urging locals not to be left out of the democratic process. He noted that having a voter’s card is a powerful tool that enables citizens to elect leaders who can effectively address their needs and drive development.

“Leadership begins with participation. I urge every eligible resident to ensure they have an ID and are registered as voters so that they can choose leaders who truly represent their interests,” said Wambua.

The aspirant revealed that he has already taken steps to facilitate this process by organizing a mass registration initiative for residents of Mulango Ward. According to him, the exercise is scheduled for Friday next week, where eligible individuals will be assisted in acquiring national identity cards a key requirement for voter registration.

Wambua further highlighted that his mobilization efforts are aimed at empowering the community, particularly the youth, to actively engage in governance matters and decision-making processes.

He made the remarks when he joined Kitui Township Ward MCA Hon. Daniel Kimanzi at the event, which brought together residents through sports while also serving as a platform for community engagement and sensitization on key social issues.

The Ngoima Ladies Cup continues to gain recognition not only as a sporting event but also as a unifying forum where leaders interact with residents and promote important civic agendas such as health, youth empowerment, and now voter registration.

Wambua’s call comes at a time when leaders across the region are increasingly encouraging early preparation for the electoral process, underscoring the critical role of voter participation in strengthening democracy and ensuring accountable leadership.
