Director of State House Coordination, Bonny Musambi, has commended President William Ruto for what he termed as “unprecedented development gains” in Kitui County, highlighting major infrastructure projects that have transformed the region.
Speaking at his home in Mulango Ward during a parental visit, Musambi said Kitui had reaped significant benefits under President Ruto’s administration, pointing to the construction of Ithookwe Stadium, the upgrading of Ithookwe Airstrip, affordable housing at kwajika and the establishment of a State Lodge as landmark projects.
“Since independence, Kitui has never witnessed such a harvest of development. These achievements under President Ruto’s leadership have given our county a new face and a brighter future,” Musambi said.
He further urged residents of Kitui Central to take voter registration seriously ahead of the 2027 General Election, noting that having a voter’s card was the first step in ensuring the right leaders are elected.
At the same time, Musambi revealed that he would be seeking the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in 2027, promising to champion development and better representation for his constituents.
“I will be on the ballot in 2027, and I am asking my people of Kitui Central to stand with me as we continue the journey of growth and empowerment,” he declared.
Musambi’s announcement is expected to stir political realignments in Kitui Central as the race for the parliamentary seat begins to take shape.
