Mutula Kilonzo Jr. Commissions Renovated Iuani Health Centre Blocks, Boosts Community Empowerment.

Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. has commissioned the newly renovated outpatient and laboratory blocks at Iuani Health Centre in Ukia Ward, Kaiti Sub-County, in a move aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for residents.During the commissioning, Governor Mutula directed the County Department of Health to immediately deploy a laboratory technician to the facility to strengthen diagnostic services and ensure patients receive timely medical attention. The renovated blocks are expected to enhance service delivery and improve the quality of healthcare offered to residents of the area.The Governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving household incomes through community empowerment initiatives. During the event, Kyanzuki Self-Help Group received KSh 204,000 under the Ultra-Poor Graduation Programme to support its income-generating activities. Mutula said the county government was expanding programmes targeting self-help groups to promote economic empowerment and improve livelihoods across Makueni County. ENDS///…
