Kitui South MP Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, in her capacity as Chair of UDA leaders in Kitui County, today led UDA leaders to Mwingi West Constituency alongside area MP Hon. Charles Nguna for a development tour, women empowerment programmes and public engagement with residents.
During the tour, Dr. Nyamai highlighted the development agenda and achievements of President William Samoei Ruto in the Ukambani region, urging residents to recognise and support government programmes aimed at transforming the region through improved infrastructure, economic empowerment and enhanced public services.
Dr. Nyamai said the government’s development agenda must continue to reach ordinary citizens, particularly women, young people and other groups at the grassroots. She emphasised that women’s economic empowerment remains critical in strengthening households and building sustainable livelihoods.
Together with Hon. Charles Nguna, Dr. Nyamai engaged residents on development priorities affecting Mwingi West, while listening to their concerns and encouraging greater public participation in government programmes.
The visit also strengthened collaboration among UDA leaders as they seek to take the government’s development message directly to the people and ensure that communities understand and benefit from available programmes.
Dr. Nyamai reaffirmed her commitment to working with fellow leaders and residents across the region to promote development, women empowerment, public engagement and the implementation of President Ruto’s development vision in Ukambani.
