Smooth Start for UDA Grassroots Elections Across 1,150 Polling Stations

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has kicked off its much-anticipated grassroots elections today, with polling taking place in 1,150 designated stations across the county.

According to Eng. Jeffrey Ombogo, the County Returning Officer overseeing the elections, the process marks the beginning of a structured transition through the party’s ranks starting from the grassroots level, moving to ward, constituency, and ultimately, the county level.

“This is a critical day for the party as we conduct our grassroots elections across all 1,150 polling stations,” said Ombogo. “Results from each polling station will be announced immediately after the elections at the respective locations.”ü

Eng. Ombogo emphasized the importance of transparency and orderly conduct throughout the day’s activities, noting that the grassroots elections serve as the foundation of the party’s internal democracy.

Once the grassroots elections conclude, the UDA will proceed to the next phases, culminating in the final county-level leadership elections.

Observers and party members alike have lauded the effort for promoting inclusivity and bottom-up participation in the party’s decision-making process.
