Stop Crying Like a Baby and Do Your Work,” Angry Masii Residents Tell Senator Agnes Kavindu During Opposition Rally Led by Kalonzo Musyoka

Tempers flared in Masii, Machakos County, when Senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama was heckled and booed by angry residents during an opposition rally led by the Sixth President of Kenya, Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.

The charged crowd, which had gathered in large numbers to welcome the opposition team, erupted in fury as Senator Kavindu attempted to address them, accusing her of hypocrisy and empty talk. The residents said the senator was pretending before the opposition leaders that she was committed to “oversighting” Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, while in reality, kavindu has failed to deliver on her mandate.

“Kavindu, stop crying like a baby and do your work!” shouted an angry resident as others joined in, chanting and jeering the senator off the stage.

The residents accused her of neglecting her senatorial duties particularly lobbying for national government resources and instead engaging in endless political noise aimed at seeking sympathy.

“You don’t know your work! Instead of bringing development, you are busy making noise. Wavinya has done real work in Machakos,” another resident shouted amid cheers from the crowd.

The people of Masii praised Governor Wavinya Ndeti for her tangible development projects across the county, citing improved infrastructure, water projects, and youth empowerment initiatives. They affirmed their confidence in her leadership, declaring that “Wavinya is a two-term governor no amount of noise or drama will change that.”

The rally, part of the opposition’s ongoing sensitization tour led by Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka, turned into a political embarrassment for Senator Kavindu, who was visibly overwhelmed by the crowd’s hostility.

Political observers say the heckling was a strong signal of voter frustration, with residents demanding action and accountability from their leaders instead of blame games and political theatrics.
