Stop Politics of “Vomwe na Vayetwa”, Muasya Tells Kamba Community as He Rallies Support for Ruto

The Commissioner at the Commission on Revenue Allocation, Ben Muasya, has called on the Kamba community to abandon divisive politics and instead unite behind William Ruto in order to fully benefit from ongoing national development programs.

Speaking at Kiusyani in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward, Kitui Rural, during a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) grassroots civic education forum, Muasya strongly criticized the persistent culture of “vamwe na vayetwa” politics, describing it as retrogressive and detrimental to the region’s progress.

He urged residents to shift focus from factional alignments and personal rivalries, emphasizing that such divisions have historically sidelined the community from key national opportunities.

According to Muasya, unity and strategic political alignment are essential if the region is to secure a fair share of resources and development.
“The time for petty divisions is over. We must speak with one voice and support the government of the day so that our people can benefit from development projects and economic empowerment,” he said.

The forum, aimed at educating grassroots supporters on electoral processes and voting procedures, brought together local leaders, youth, and residents from across the ward. Muasya underscored the importance of civic awareness, noting that an informed electorate is crucial in shaping accountable leadership.

He further praised President Ruto’s administration for its focus on infrastructure development, economic revitalization, and inclusive governance, stating that these efforts present an opportunity for regions like Ukambani to advance if they align with the national agenda.

Local leaders present echoed Muasya’s sentiments, urging residents to embrace unity and participate actively in political processes without being swayed by divisive rhetoric.

The meeting forms part of a broader UDA grassroots mobilization campaign aimed at strengthening support ahead of future electoral engagements, while also fostering civic education at the community level.

As the political landscape gradually begins to take shape ahead of the next general elections, leaders continue to emphasize cohesion as a key pillar for regional development and national integration.
