‎Two Trucks Collide and Burst Into Flames Along Mombasa–Nairobi Highway

Traffic was brought to a standstill earlier today after two trucks collided and caught fire along the busy Mombasa–Nairobi Highway.

‎The accident occurred at Kanga area, between Daystar University and Mto Mawe, causing a major traffic snarl-up as emergency responders rushed to the scene. Witnesses reported that the two lorries crashed before bursting into flames, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and forcing motorists to stop at a distance for safety.

‎Police officers arrived promptly to manage the situation and help ease the heavy congestion that built up along the highway. Efforts were immediately launched to control the fire and clear the wreckage from the road.

‎Confirming the incident, Machakos County Police Commander Monica Kimani stated that authorities were working to restore normal traffic flow and investigate the cause of the crash.

‎Motorists have been advised to exercise caution while using the route as clearance operations continue.

‎Further details, including information on possible casualties, are expected as investigations progress.
