Governor Wavinya Ndeti has commissioned key healthcare infrastructure projects at Matungulu Health Centre in Matungulu East Ward, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality and affordable healthcare across Machakos County.
The newly commissioned facilities include modern male and female wards, a kitchen, a laundry unit, and a physiotherapy unit. The projects are expected to improve patient care, increase the facility’s admission capacity, enhance hygiene standards, and strengthen rehabilitative healthcare services.
Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Wavinya noted that the physiotherapy unit is among the first established in a Level 3 hospital in Machakos County, adding that her administration is committed to extending the service to all Level 3 hospitals across the county.
Matungulu Health Centre serves more than 8,000 residents, and the new investments will enhance the delivery of efficient, accessible, and quality healthcare while improving the overall patient experience.
