‎Wavinya Ndeti Unveils Plan to Consolidate Devolved Services Under One Roof

Governor Wavinya Ndeti announced that her administration was constructing modern sub-county administration office blocks aimed at bringing key devolved services closer to residents.

Speaking during the State of the County Address at the Assembly Chambers, the Governor said the county government had adopted a “one government approach” to enhance efficiency, coordination, and service delivery across departments. She stated that the new office blocks would consolidate critical devolved services—including health, water, agriculture, and education—under one roof.

‎The Governor emphasized that the initiative was designed to improve access to essential services while reducing the burden on residents who previously had to move between different offices to seek assistance. By integrating the departments within a single administrative hub at the sub-county level, the county government aimed to streamline operations and foster inter-departmental collaboration.

She noted that the infrastructure project reflected her administration’s commitment to responsive governance and institutional strengthening. The modern office blocks, she said, would not only provide a conducive working environment for county staff but also enhance public service experience for wananchi seeking government support.

Governor Ndeti reaffirmed her government’s dedication to ensuring that development reached all corners of the county, adding that the consolidation of services was part of broader reforms to make devolved units more accessible, accountable, and citizen-centered.

The announcement formed part of a wider address outlining progress made and ongoing development initiatives under her leadership.
