Waziri Fredrick Kimanga Oversees Handover of Dustless Program Site at Kiusyani Market

Kiusyani, Kitui County – Waziri Fredrick Kimanga, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, has officially overseen the handover of the site for the Dustless Program at Kiusyani Market in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward, Kitui Rural.The project, a key initiative under Governor Julius Malombe’s administration, aims to improve the market environment by eliminating dust, thereby enhancing trade and economic activities.

Local Leaders Express Gratitude

Speaking at the event, Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward MCA Mark Kitute Ndingo thanked Governor Malombe for prioritizing the needs of the people by initiating various development programs in the region. He highlighted that the Dustless Program is one of many projects benefiting Kiusyani and the wider Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward.

Mark further assured the residents that he would continue working closely with the governor to ensure that more development initiatives reach the people.

Call for Cooperation

Kitui County Official Evans Mutemi Mutua urged Kiusyani residents to fully cooperate with the officers and the town’s committee responsible for the implementation of the project.

“This initiative will bring great relief to traders and residents by eliminating dust, which has been a major challenge in the market,” he said.

Economic Impact and Quality Assurance

During his speech, CECM Fredrick Kimanga emphasized that the Dustless Program would boost the local economy by increasing working hours and improving the overall market environment.

He called upon the contractor to strictly adhere to the Bill of Quantities (BQ) and ensure high-quality work, as per Governor Malombe’s standards.

Additionally, Kimanga urged residents to respect their leaders, stating that unity and cooperation are key to achieving smooth development in the region.

The launch of the Dustless Program marks another milestone in Kitui County’s commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the livelihoods of its residents.
