Best Rock Sacco Holds Successful AGM in Kitui

 

Kitui, Kenya – February 28, 2025

Best Rock Sacco held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Kitui Multipurpose Hall in Kitui Central, Kitui County, bringing together its 5,612 active members. The meeting highlighted the Sacco’s growth, financial stability, and its impact on local businesses, especially among small-scale traders.

Addressing the members of press , Caro Munyao, the Marketing Officer for Kitui County, noted that most of the Sacco’s members are mama mbogas (small-scale vegetable vendors). She praised their commitment, stating that “The members of Best Rock Sacco are very active. When they borrow, they return the money since the interest rate is only 1.5%. We also educate our members to ensure they manage their finances well.”

Munyoa further assured members that their savings are secure, emphasizing the Sacco’s transparency and strong financial management. “The money of our members is safe,” she added.

The Chief Guest, Rose Mutuku, Kitui County Minister for Trade, encouraged members to take advantage of the Sacco’s affordable loans to expand their businesses. She urged them to be responsible borrowers to ensure the sustainability of the Sacco. “I encourage you to borrow and grow your businesses, but also make sure you repay the money to help the Sacco grow,” Mutuku said.
