In a heartfelt show of solidarity and compassion, Waziri Fredrick Kimanga the kitui county minister for lands housing and urban development joined grieving families in Kitui County today to pay his final respects to two beloved matriarchs, marking a solemn yet significant day of mourning and unity.
Waziri Kimanga first visited Utoo Village in Mutonguni Ward, Kitui West, where he condoled with the family and friends of the late Ruth Katindi Mati. The late Ruth was the mother of former Member of County Assembly (MCA) Musee Mati, a respected leader who previously served the Mutonguni Ward. Representing the Governor of Kitui County, Dr. Julius Malombe, Waziri Kimanga offered a message of comfort, reflecting on Ruth Mati’s legacy of strength, dedication to family, and community service.
Speaking during the ceremony, Waziri Kimanga conveyed Governor Malombe’s deep sympathies, praising the late Ruth for her enduring contribution to the social fabric of the community.
Waziri Kimanga, fondly referred to as Generali by locals, proceeded to Kiseveni Village in Kauwi, where he joined the Mwanthi family to lay to rest the late Betrace Kaluki Kimondo. Once again, he offered heartfelt condolences and stood in solidarity with the mourning family during their difficult time.
