Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga Rescues Kitui West Students, Pays School Fees to Keep Education Dreams Alive

Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga has once again reaffirmed his strong commitment to education after intervening to support two students from Kitui West Constituency who had been sent home over school fees arrears.

The two learners Shadrack Mwanzia, a Form Three student, and Domini Mwanzia, a Form Four student at Matinyani Secondary School hail from Mikuyu Village in Mikuyu Mikya Location, Kitui West. Their studies had been interrupted for some time after their family was unable to raise the required school fees.

Upon being informed of their situation, Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga stepped in and paid a substantial amount of the outstanding fees to facilitate their immediate return to school. He also held discussions with the school principal to ensure the students were allowed back to class as arrangements continue to clear the remaining balance.

Speaking during the intervention, Waziri Kimanga emphasized that education remains a central pillar in his leadership agenda for Kitui West. He noted that while many families are facing economic challenges, no child should have their academic journey cut short due to financial hardship.
“Education is the foundation of a brighter future. When we support our children to stay in school, we are investing in the transformation of our community,” he stated.

The two students have since resumed their studies at Matinyani Secondary School, expressing gratitude for the timely support that has given them renewed hope.

Waziri Generali further called upon well-wishers and members of the community to join hands in supporting the students and other vulnerable children within the constituency. He appealed for collective responsibility in ensuring that learners from disadvantaged backgrounds are not left behind.

Residents of Kitui West have praised Waziri Generali Fredrick Kimanga for his swift and compassionate intervention, describing him as a leader who values education and takes practical steps to secure a better future for the young generation.
