In a decisive step toward regional economic transformation, the organizing committee of the South Eastern Farmers and Business Community Convention convened on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, and confirmed that preparations for the highly anticipated event had been successfully finalized.

The meeting marked a significant milestone, signaling not only readiness but also a shared commitment to fostering growth, innovation, and unity across the region.

The convention was envisioned as a powerful platform bringing together the three Ukambani counties in a vibrant showcase of opportunity and collaboration.

It was set to attract leading companies, dynamic private sector players, forward-thinking entrepreneurs, and county governments, all united by a common goal to unlock the vast economic potential of the region. From agriculture to trade and enterprise, the event promised to shine a spotlight on innovation, investment, and sustainable development.

Organized by the National Chamber of Commerce Kitui Chapter, in collaboration with Pacemark and KICABA, and in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and the County Government of Kitui, the convention reflected a strong spirit of partnership between public and private sectors. This collective effort underscored the importance of synergy in driving meaningful economic progress.

Scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th April 2026 at the iconic Kitui Stadium, the event was poised to be more than just a gathering it was a movement. A movement to empower farmers, uplift businesses, and inspire communities. It aimed to create lasting connections, open new markets, and provide a stage where ideas could flourish and partnerships could be forged.
