“Where Is the Money?” Kisoi Munyao Accuses Mbooni MP of Looting Borehole and Bridge Funds

Former Mbooni MP Hon. Kisoi Munyao has launched a blistering attack on the current constituency legislator, Hon. Erustus Kivasu Nzioka, demanding a public account of what he termed as missing development funds meant for key projects in Mbooni.

Speaking in a no-holds-barred address, Kisoi accused the MP of presiding over what he described as a scam involving funds allocated for the drilling of four boreholes, projects he claimed do not exist on the ground. He challenged the sitting MP to come clean and explain to residents where the money went, arguing that the people of Mbooni were deliberately deceived.

The former lawmaker further alleged that millions of shillings earmarked for the construction of Kwa Ngewa Bridge were irregularly handed to the MP’s cousin. According to Kisoi, the bridge was either poorly executed or not constructed in line with the Bill of Quantities (BQ), raising serious questions about procurement, accountability, and value for money.

In his strongest remarks yet, Kisoi accused the MP of turning development projects into a personal enrichment scheme, alleging that public funds were being “pocketed” and redistributed among close relatives under the guise of constituency development.

He warned that residents were no longer interested in political bitterness or personal attacks, but in transparency and tangible development. Kisoi insisted that Mbooni voters deserved answers, not excuses, and placed the MP on notice to account for every shilling allocated to constituency projects.
The allegations are likely to intensify political pressure on the Mbooni MP, as calls grow for independent audits and public accountability over constituency development funds. At the time of publication, Hon. Erustus Kivasu Nzioka had not publicly responded to the claims.
