Public participation forums and the issuance of County Bursary application forms for the 2025/2026 financial year have officially commenced across Machakos County, marking a significant step towards enhancing access to education for needy learners.

The ongoing exercise has witnessed large numbers of applicants turning up at their respective Ward Administrators’ offices to complete the application process. The initiative is aimed at supporting students in secondary schools, universities, Vocational Training Centres (VTCs), and other learning institutions across the county.

The program is being coordinated by officers from the Department of Education, ECDE, Youth, Vocational and Skills Training in collaboration with Ward Administrators. The team is working to ensure that the exercise is conducted transparently and fairly, while also guaranteeing that deserving and vulnerable students benefit from the bursary funds.
